All about CBG

CBG (cannabigerol)is a lesser known cannabinoid but has gained popularity in recent months. While considered a minor cannainoid, CBG has a wide range of benefits! Every human body has an ECS (Endocannabinoid System) that keeps the body in a balanced state of homeostasis. It performs different functions at different parts of the body. Studies show that CBG may have some promising benefits including:

  • Effective in treating glucoma

  • Decrease inflammatory bowel disease

  • Protect neurons in the brain

  • Fights cancer

  • Effective antibacterial

  • Helps aid weight loss

  • Effective in aiding bladder disorders

Like CBD, CBG doesn't get you high like THC. They both influence the body's ECS in someway. While both are similar, CBD differs from CBD in that CBD does not bind directly with the body's CB2 receptors. A body's CB2 receptors are found in the cells of our immune system. They help moderate inflammation and our response to pathogens. Research shows that CBG is better at combating conditions of an overactive immune system like: arthritis, asthma, allergies, and digestive issues.

CBG is nicknamed the mother of all cannabinoinds because it is the parent molecule from which other cannabinoids are synthesized.

CBG research is still very new so we're all still finding out about it's awesome benefits! In a nutshell, CBG promotes the efficiency function of the body and the immune system.
